Next Bachelorette Season - Ooh la la

For those of you who know me, you know that I'm not a big fan of reality TV, but I think I'm going to make an exception for Season 7 of The Bachelorette.  This next season will spotlight a guy from my hometown of Lake Charles- Ben Castoriano.  The shy boy who graduated high school with me in the class of 2000 is going to star on the next season of The Bachelorette.  Crazy what a small world it is!

I can't wait to see how much the shy boy in my Sophomore English class has changed.  Here's a shout out to a Louisiana local.

Good luck, Ben!

Twenty to the Nines

So... as I'm approaching my last year in my 20 somethings, and have already started the obligatory family celebrations, in what has become to be known as "my birthday month," I wonder if I'm really where I always expected myself to be at the age of 29. But even if I'm not where I always projected I would be, I wonder, more importantly, if I did all of the irresponsible and fun things everyone is supposed to do in her youth.  Is it time for me to have a third life crisis wondering, "What have I done with my twenties?"

So I've decided that my last year in my twenties should go out with a bang.  What better way to do this than to create a bucket list for the last year of my youth?  So here goes.

Twenty to the Nines
  1. Travel with friends.
  2. Become fabulous and fashionable.
  3. Take a photography class and actually post decent pictures on my blog.
  4. Take a risk.
  5. Fall in love.
  6. Live healthy.
  7. Do something that terrifies me like skydiving or some other crazy stunt.
  8. Turn Sassy-Fras into my wonderful dream.
  9. Learn Italian - meeting a hot, Italian instructor wouldn't hurt either.  And actually use this skill in Italy.
  10. Perfect playing Fur Elise on my keyboard.
  11. Continue to surround myself with fabulous friends.
  12. Read and write - my two loves.
  13. Learn to cook a culinary masterpiece - or at least learn to cook.
  14. Master yoga and meditation.
  15. Volunteer.
  16. Live spontaneously.
  17. Do something completely irresponsible just for the hell of it.  I only have one more year to blame it on my twenties.
  18. Live green, or at least be more eco-friendly.
  19. Flip a coin and decide whether to drive East or West and just go.
  20. Buy something completely indulgent, just for me.  Something I don't even need, but just love.
I better get started.
